The Ywangan lead district (21° 16′ 20″ N, 96° 25′ E) contains several small Pb–Zn deposits hosted by Wunbye Formation limestones in faulted blocks on the Ywangan Plateau. Small mines in the Yechanbyin–Dokhtoye area (Garson et al. 1972; Hnin Min Soe 2008; Hnin Min Soe & Than Htay 2014) have been visited by Tun Aung Kyi (2012) and Than Htun (2013), where the Ordovician limestones host structurally controlled limestone-replacement ore bodies. Sulphides occur in networks of stringers and veins, containing sulphides of lead, zinc, copper and silver.
