The host rock of Sabe taung is Lead, zinc and barite veins associated with copper in carbonate; copper bearing minerals are chocopyrite, tatrahedrite, bornite, chacosite, pyrite, malachite and azurite and ofthen associated with minor gold and geological setting of Kyaukse Sabe Taung Copper deposit lies in the western marginal zone of Shan Plateau and to the east of the central Myanmar Tertiary basin. The Paleozoic rocks (mainly Ordovician limestone (Wunbye formation) underlain probabaly structurally by the Chaung Ma Gyi group (Late Proterozoic).
