"In stratigraphic mapping, the limestone and dolomitic limestone of the shallow shelf facies, occurring immediately above the Lower Palaeozoic units and containing early Middle Permian corals (mostly waagenophyllids), brachiopods and foraminiferal fossils (particularly schwagerinid fusulines), can be assigned to the Thitsipin Formation. The shattered dolomite and dolomitic limestone of shallow shelf facies occurring above the Thitsipin Formation, and containing a peculiar miliolid– smaller foraminifer association of Shanita–Hemigordiopsis fauna, can be referred to the Nwabangyi Formation. LITHOLOGY Dolomite & dolomatic limestone with brecciated texture and bluish grey, bedded limestone & cherty limestone. "
