"LA-ICP-MS U–Pb zircon ages of 181.1 ± 1.9 Ma and 183.2 ± 1.9 Ma (Early Jurassic) have recently been reported for the biotite granite and leucogneiss from the Monbinzon (Taunggwa) area (20° 39–44′ N, 96° 13–18′ E) at the western margin of the Shan Plateau in Thazi and Pyawbwe townships (Myat Thuza Soe 2014; Myat Thuza Soe & Khin Zaw, unpublished data; Crow & Khin Zaw 2017)."
