Locality Description
Northern West and Northern mountain of Putao township, Kachin state is mogok series, Precambrian age of Schist, Gneiss, Quartzite, Calc-silicate and locality lenses of marble. They are welly hard and compact, so this area has ridges and valley. This mountain ranges which composed with mogok series rocks are become by plate tectonic processes, Orogeny. Along the major faults and fractures which caused by tectonism is mesozoic age of granite and ultrabasic rocks. South East and East of the study area is Putao plain. Deposition of pebble and cobble size Putao gravel bed, this area is the inter mountain basin in past.
